Meet our host:
Dr. Barry Bradford completed dual B.S. degrees at Iowa State University and a doctorate in Animal Nutrition at Michigan State University. He then served on the faculty at Kansas State University from 2006 to 2019, and in 2020, he returned to Michigan State as the Clint Meadows Chair in Dairy Management. Bradford’s research group has largely contributed with studies on dietary utilization of byproducts in lactation diets, the impacts of post-calving inflammation, and the roles of nutrients as signals. In his current role, Dr. Bradford works directly with dairy producers to apply both research and herd monitoring data to improve decision-making on dairy farms.
